Mephedrone- The Legal Party Drug
Popular among the UK party scene for years now, mepherdrone is among the ever extending list of synthetic drugs filling the counters at our local stores. One of the biggest reasons why is that it comes in a bag labeled “not for human consumption.”
Mephedrone, also known as 4-methylmethcathinone (4-MMC), or 4-methylephedrone, is asynthetic stimulant and entactogen drug of the amphetamine and cathinone classes. Slang names include M4, meph, drone, MCAT and meow meow.
Mephedrone users say the drug brings euphoria, stimulation, an enhanced appreciation for music, an elevated mood, decreased hostility, improved mental function and mild sexual stimulation; these effects are similar to ecstasy. These effects last different amounts of time, depending on the way the drug is taken.
